Lavishly Rich Combinations
Friday, January 27, 6 pm - 9 pm
Dancers will work on technique, fluidity and musicality in this workshop that delves into modern or tribal fusion belly dance, Lavish style.
To begin, Audra will focus on stationary and traveling drills using basic and layered belly dance technique as we strive for precision and clarity in our movements. Technique will be broken down as required, with Audra’s trademark attention to detail.
Once clean, we’ll add details and imagery to the movements as they are put together into short sections from some of Audra’s new choreographies for Lavish.
This workshop is geared towards all levels and styles of belly dancers with some experience. Experience with Dark Side technique is not required.
Options will be given to suit all levels attending.

We’ll discuss general methods of approaching improvisational dancing, take a look at how we can make use of simple movement variations effectively, examine how music can provide prompts, and work with dynamics.
This workshop is geared towards all levels and styles of belly dancers with some experience
We will be using traditional and non-traditional music.
Previous experience with improvisation is not required.
